VIGLAS DOOR - DAS CERTIFICATION

The VIGLAS fireproof all-glass door presents the DAS novelty this year. The DAS function makes it possible to meet the security requirements of high-rise buildings open to the public. To be classified DAS, the element must meet a whole series of criteria included in a test to be carried out in an official laboratory and resulting from a report. The VIGLAS have successfully passed these tests and have this official approval. On a practical level, the fire door can remain open during normal use, which is in theory contrary to its fire protection function which requires it to remain closed. It is an internal device which, when a fire breaks out, cuts off the power supply to the electromagnetic door closer and allows the door to close in just a few seconds. While the majority of doors achieve this result through unattractive wall suction cups, VIGLAS integrates this device into its floor pivot without in any way altering the aesthetics of the product.
