Burnblock by Lemahieu Group, a natural & non-toxic fire retardant Lemahieu Group (Lemahieu & Lempan) is capable of manufacturing fire retardant timber and panels, up to B-s1,d0, by the means of Burnblock®. These products are both for indoor and outdoor applications and meet the highest standards regarding combustible materials. Thanks to the certificates of 16 wood species that are fire retardant up to B-s1,d0 in accordance with the European standard EN 13501, Burnblock® allows the architect to opt for natural and sustainable timber and panels for his projects. A continuous R&D enables us to respond to urban planning developments and to expand our certificates. A selection from the certified timber species are: pine, cedar, Siberian larch, Accoya, ThermoWood® Ayous, ThermoWood® Fraké and Padouk. In addition to treating domestic timber products, the company also offers this fire retardant solution for third parties. Thanks to two characteristics, Burnblock® is unique in the market: 1. The ecological aspect: Burnblock® is 100% natural, biodegradable and non-toxic. 2. The fire rating obtained through vacuum/pressure impregnation, B-s1,d0, also meets the requirements for indoor applications.
