NIDO

NIDO by SIMAS. The design urinal for the domestic bathroom. A harmonious process of mathematics and geometry gave birth to NIDO, the urinal, unique design product with innate functionalities. A creative idea, designed by Simone Anzellini of Simas Design Team, strongly connected to the rationality and to the geometry, in this case the triangle, as an expressive experimentation in a game of subtractions & additions. Accurate research of design in every one of the realization’s steps, between the culture of the shapes and the creativity which have created a fascinating and unusual outline, an elliptical cylinder stretched out on the wall, which following a diagonal directrix looks towards the top. The internal tank of an elliptical shape, took the aspect of a dressed, comfortable and safe recess, exactly as a nest. The ellipse, geometric shape of reference, becomes an integrating part of its total harmony to which is not possible and needed to add more. Aesthetic research that contributed to the inclusion of NIDO by SIMAS in the pre-selection volume ADI Design Index 2022, in the Design for Living category, allows it to compete for the Compasso d'Oro 2024 Award. NIDO is the urinal made of ceramic material that is elegant, functional, hygienic, not at all cumbersome given its small dimensions (cm30x30xH81), easy to clean and with a reduced water consumption of only two liters, ideal for use in public spaces as well as in the home bathrooms of families with children and/or elderly people. NIDO is available in a refined palette of trendy colors, coordinated with the colors of the most recent SIMAS collections, from the satin finishes Matt Anthracite, Bianco, Nero, Tela, Cemento, Moka, Sabbia to the welcoming, new glossy finishes Capri, Caramello, Grafite, Menta, Narciso, Rubino, which join the classic glossy black and white.
