An innovation that rethinks the frame as an element for design and no longer just a technical component. An invisible and purely structural element until now, for the first time the frame becomes beauty and design, giving the door a significant presence and a unique expressive force. In historical buildings, especially from the Romanesque and Gothic period, walls in proximity to windows were inclined and widened towards the interior of the room. In architecture, this technique is identified with the term “splay”. Inspired by history, the ECLISSE 40 Collection is a patented aluminium frame that gives the door a special splay, a feature that completes and enhances it, giving it a unique, precise and minimal look. On one side, the inclined aluminium profiles outline a splayed door which is almost three-dimensional, creating a sense of depth, achieved by the surface tilted at a 40 degree angle. Attention is drawn away from the wall towards the door frame, which enriches and enhances the room as a decorative element. On the other side, the very same frame ensures the perfect planarity of a door flush with the wall that can be finished with paint or wallpaper, just like the surrounding wall. Elegance and discretion. This project puts the frame at its centre, turning it into the absolute protagonist that redefines the final appearance of the space. Emerging from the wall, the ECLISSE 40 Collection outlines the volume of the threshold, creating a close connection between the two spaces it separates. A new archetype that changes perspectives and makes the door appear as a work of art in a picture frame.
