Luc Eeckhout, evr-architecten, KU Leuven

Building is building for the future, but how can we do this without depleting our planet? This presentation challenges us to consider: what do we give back? We compare footprint to handprint and look for a net-positive answer. The construction industry must evolve from a destructive to a regenerative model, with circular water use and CO₂ storage in materials. We present concrete cases and an applicable thinking model to make projects future-proof and restorative.
