THE VERTICAL SUPPORT

Over the past few years, there has been a marked trend in residential and institutional construction towards lighter and faster-to-build structures. Examples include prefabricated buildings with wooden or light steel framing, permanent or temporary modular units, as well as repurposing shipping containers as habitable spaces. Building extensions are also common. In this context, Techno Pieux foundations are perfectly suited to these different types of projects for several reasons. Through constant monitoring of the construction sector's developments, Techno Pieux's research and development department has innovated by modifying its horizontal support plates to preserve the effectiveness of its foundation system. The innovation involves the ultra-fast installation of a positionable vertical wing (AVP) made of 6mm-thick standardized steel, adapted to the project's size. This wing allows for bolting or any form of attachment that fixes the structure to the foundation, regardless of the type of framing used. The AVP allows the carpenter or structure installer to independently position the vertical wing precisely based on the structural pieces to be placed on the Techno Pieux plates.
