Milleforma Cotone 3D wall panel Brief general information about product Milleforma is an acoustic decorative wall-covering, made of cotton linters mixed with high-quality clay and coloured with natural earth pigments, without the addition of mordants and glues. The 3D tiles are made through a handcrafted moulding process, where we mix the traditional handmade Italian quality with new ways of thinking – using natural materials to obtain excellent technical and aesthetic features. The manual processing allows shades of light that are never repeated identically, making each tile unique and precious. Milleforma acoustic tiles are offered in different shapes, and various colours, for wall and ceiling installation. Each tile can be combined with a continuous repetition or with different combinations of smooth and worked tiles. Each tile has a high-impact texture and can be used both horizontally and vertically to create new combinations and graphic effects. Milleforma Cotone can be used as a tile, with the simplicity of installation given by the lightness of the cotton material. Thanks to this flexibility, you can choose among such a broad variety of different patterns that you will certainly satisfy your personalisation needs. Our acoustic tiles are suitable both in residential and working spaces like offices, receptions, halls and meeting and conference rooms, creating a multisensory harmony and an atmosphere of well-being. Milleforma takes up and combines ancient craftsmanship with innovative technologies, towards a modern vision. We meet the needs of current projects, using high-performance materials that can be 100% reused at the end of their life. The product, made and coloured with full respect of nature and the use of natural materials, is processed with an innovative processing technique that allows the creation of both shapes and easily achievable and customisable textures. We have transformed and innovated the processing of these natural fibers to obtain a new structural material, suitable for the construction of furnishing systems. The product has sound-absorbing characteristics even at low frequencies, with a thickness of only 2 cm. The synthesis that we have achieved between technology and sustainability allows us to offer a new natural, performing and flexible material. The materiality, the structure and the lightness of the material are unique for a wall tile with sound-absorbing characteristics, which combines technical and functional characteristics with a great aesthetic and design impact. Milleforma is a new all-natural material providing high-performance sound-absorption with no environmental impact. We retire the product at the end of its life to insert it again into our production cycle. Milleforma Cotone is a natural and decorative solution that allows acoustic correction both in existing and future environments, without the invasiveness and the aesthetic limits of traditional acoustic panels in polyester or rock wool. Technical aspect (consumption, sound, stainability…) To create lightweight and structural products with a unique and modern design, Milleforma uses cotton cellulose, a 100% natural material, highly resistant, and used in the Italian tradition since the 12th century for the manual production of paper. These elements have also been developed to obtain excellent technical performance: resistance to fire and water, transpiration and a better acoustic response, while maintaining the excellent sensory and aesthetic qualities of the finished product. Milleforma Cotone products are provided with the CE marking in system 1, as materials for walls and ceilings. The product was developed taking into account the technical, functional and regulatory aspects to be also applied in public spaces. They were subjected to the most severe tests, to certify the reaction to fire, the sound-absorbing power and the thermal insulation coefficient. Milleforma coatings are in Euroclass B-S1, d0 with respect to fire reaction. The product was tested for VOC emission, and obtained the best possible result, class A+. Ecological aspect The attention and sensitivity in the conscious use of natural raw materials has led us to choose cellulose that is ideal to Milleforma panels, as it does not contain harmful substances and creates comfortable environments from an acoustic, visual and environmental point of view. The interaction between nature and innovation is the basis for the design of the finished product. We consciously use natural materials, working them in an innovative way that fully respects nature, mixing up handcrafted traditional processes with new technologies. Our Milleforma Cotone tiles are made of more than 70% cotton cellulose. Cellulose is one of the most abundant materials found in nature, mainly produced by plants but also by bacteria and algae. Thanks to its abundance and biodegradability, cotton cellulose is an excellent choice for raw material due to the need to reduce plastic waste and to replace the fossil materials still present in many finished products. Our manufacturing process is a closed cycle, with total respect for nature. We do not use harmful chemicals; they are plastic-free and do not contain adhesives. We recover and reuse the water used for processing, including what evaporates in the drying process. The cotton linters are mixed in a water bath with high-quality clays and naturally coloured earths, without the addition of artificial dyes and mordant. Then, the final shape of the product is obtained by a cold moulding process. We meet the needs of current projects using high-performance materials that can be 100% reused at the end of their life. We retire the product at the end of its life to insert it again into our production cycle. Our approach allows us to collect products from our customers at the end of use to reintroduce recycled materials into our production process, re-using 100% of the constituent material (cellulose-clay-colouring earth). The sustainable process and the recovery of the material are our added value for responsible use, and as limited as possible use of raw materials over time.
