ANTI FINGERPRINT TREATMENT (AFP)

The surface of SteelColor stainless steel sheets can be treated with a special anti fingerprint finishing, which is able to facilitate the removal of dirt and fingerprints. A thin layer of perfectly transparent varnish is applied onto the sheets. It adheres strongly to the steel surface, allowing different processes to be carried out, such as shearing, laser cutting (both optical fiber and Co2), punching (without oil), bending. The sheets are protected with a rubber based plastic film with medium adhesiveness. The applied varnish has the following characteristics: • Resistance to household detergents and contact with food and organic acids • Absence of heavy metals The sheets with anti fingerprint varnish must be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap. They can be made of AISI 304, AISI 316, AISI 430 and AISI 441 (for brushed finishes). The available sizes range from • 1000 x 2000 mm (minimum size) • 1500 x 4000 mm (maximum size) • Thickness: 0,6 mm - 3,0 mm and they depend on the finishing on which the anti fingerprint treatment is applied. The checks are carried out as required by our Quality Management System certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001.
